How it started

Clyde Townsend was a motorcycle enthusiast first and a businessman second. He raced enduros and won a shelf of trophies before he opened a small shop in Dothan, Alabama, in 1950. He expected the people around him to be the best they could be, and that is still the standard here.

In 1975 Don Owens joined the business and kept it in the family. Over fifty years he worked nearly every department and shaped the dealership into what it is today. Clyde's grandson, Ian Owens, came home after a decade in Birmingham to lead the company and has been at the helm for more than ten years.
