Management

Don Owens

President

Don has been with Dothan Powersports for over 44 years as of 2019. He has served in each department on his way to becoming owner and general manager. His desire is to see that each customer leaves with the feeling that their experience with Dothan Powersports has exceeded their expectations

Ian D. Owens

General Manager

The grandson of our founder, Ian came to Dothan Powersports after receiving his MBA from Samford University. He continued working in Birmingham for 10 years after graduation in the automotive marketing arena as a project manager. We convinced him to come home and join the family business and were thrilled when he agreed. Now we can rest assured that the family business will continue for many years to come.

Clyde H. Townsend

Founder

Our founder, Clyde Townsend, started the business in 1950. He was a true motorcycle enthusiast. He won many enduro racing trophies through his earlier years. He left a legacy of expecting you to be the best you could be. We’ve tried to continue that ideal. Clyde died on March 16th of 2019. He was 92 when he passed.

Parts Manager

Johnna Gray joined Dothan Powersports in 2020 after over 10 years in the Powersports Parts industry. We’re grateful to have her expertise in OEM and aftermarket Parts & Accessories. Parts Counter/Shipping & Receiving

Tim has been with Dothan Powersports for a little over a year as of 2018. He has become a valuable member of the parts team.

Dustin Thomley

Sales Manager

Dustin originally joined our team as the Finance & Insurance manager as has quickly proven himself as a capable leader and invaluable member of the Dothan Powersports family. Dustin now holds the position of Sales Manager where he oversees each sales deal along with managing inventory and ordering.

Terry Johnson

Preowned Manager

Terry has been a member of our Sales team since 2019. As a trained mechanic and sportsbike enthusiast, Terry has a unique skillset that enables him to assist his customers in finding the perfect unit to fit their needs. In 2023, Terry was promoted to Preowned Manager where he oversees the buying & selling of preowned inventory.

J.A Causey

Salesperson

J.A. has been with Dothan Powersports for 14 years as of 2018. If you ever want to know who someone is just ask J.A. He knows just about everyone. J.A. has spent his entire career as a salesman. He has many loyal customers that ask for him over the years. He always goes the extra mile to take care of his customers.

Daniel joined our growing team in 2023 as F&I Manager where he assists each customer with putting together the best payment plans or cash options for their budgets and needs. Peggy Adkison

Office Manager

Peggy has been with Dothan Powersports for 40 years as of 2018. She oversees bookkeeping and office management. She is very meticulous at her job and we can always depend on her to see that the job is done right. We would be lost without her.

Nancy Andres

Office Clerk

Nancy has been with Dothan Powersports for 8 years as of 2019. She handles our payables and receivables along with other tasks. Nancy is not satisfied until she has everything balanced to the last penny. We don’t have to worry about her office as long as she is there.
